Background

Levitate is a three-day event that takes place in Marshfield Massachusetts early July. In 2023 our team enacted a full scale service of providing bins, collecting material, sorting, and litter sweeping. In our inaugural year we were able to divert 24,018 lbs of recycling and compost from the landfill.

During the Event

Our team is on site and ready to work. During event hours our team is out an about litter sweeping and emptying bins before they are full, and before litter becomes an eyesore for patrons. After the event each night our team resets bins, and cleans up at the stages.

Recycling & Compost

The recycling and compost we collect is sorted at our Zero Waste Headquarters to make sure all material is clean and has the best chance possible to be recycled and composted. This is one of our largest sorting efforts of the year. In 2023 we sorted 4,260 lbs of compost and handled 19,300 lbs of recycling.

After the Event

After the close of the event our team is on site until all areas are litter swept and the material collected is sorted into the proper categories.
